The innovative modular design of our Mtec Series MCCBs offers a complete choice of configuration options from a surprisingly small range of parts, giving you the logistical advantage of short lead times and reduced inventory costs.
Our Mtec moulded case circuit breaker (MCCB) base units are available in various sizes, in 3 pole or 4 pole, with rated current up to 1600A and with up to 65kA breaking capacity. When choosing a base unit size, also take into consideration if any internal accessories and optional drive methods are required and the termination type needed.
The Mtec MCCB electronic release modules use digital sampling to calculate true rms current for precise, accurate tripping. Current ratings can be set from 40A to 1600A and special calibrations are available for protection of motors and discrimination in distribution systems. A switch disconnect adaptor can be fitted in place of an electric release to allow the switching unit to be used as a switch disconnector (with no overload or short circuit protection).
To complement our Mtec moulded case circuit breaker base units and electronic release modules, we offer a comprehensive range of modular accessories and drive methods, such as auxiliary contacts, shunt trips, undervoltage release, rotary hand drives, mechanical interlocks, various termination types, actuation and signalling options, which can all be added to the base units to enhance the value of the range.
