Techna offers an extensive collection of Drive Units, covering a wide variety of applications. Our range includes caterpillar units, two and four roll drives alongside units specially designed to transport strip materials and minimise edge bow. Our drive units are suitable for use with a multitude of materials from plastic tube to hard-drawn steel wire and strip.
Our drive units can be fully customised to suit your application with a number of different options including pneumatic or hydraulic clamping actuation, automated quick release, positioning and custom sizing.
Two Roll Drive Units
Our NA Series Two Roll Drive Units have hydraulic clamping and have one radius groove per roll as standard. These two roll drive units are available in three different wire diameter range sizes covering wire diameters up to 15mm.
The NAS Series Heavy Duty Two Roll Drive Units have pneumatic clamping and have one radius groove per roll as standard. These heavy duty two roll drive units are available in three different wire diameter range sizes covering wire diameters up to 15mm.
Four Roll Drive Units
Our NAD Series Four Roll Drive Units have hydraulic clamping and have one radius groove per roll as standard. These four roll drive units are available in three different wire diameter range sizes covering wire diameters up to 15mm.
The NADS Series Heavy Duty Four Roll Drive Units have pneumatic clamping and have one radius groove per roll as standard. These heavy duty four roll drive units are available in three different wire diameter range sizes covering wire diameters up to 15mm.
Heavy Duty Drive Units for Larger Diameters
Our NADV Series Heavy Duty Drive Units feature hydraulic clamping, a pneumatic drive to adjust belt tension and have one radius groove per roll as standard. These heavy duty drive units are available for wire diameters 7mm to 40mm.
The NADH Series Heavy Duty Drive Units feature hydraulic clamping, a direct drive with hydraulic motors and have one radius groove per roll as standard. These heavy duty drive units are available for wire diameters 15mm to 40mm.
Caterpillar Units
Our NAK Series Caterpillar Units have pneumatic clamping and are available in three different wire diameter range sizes to cover wire diameters up to 40mm.
The NAKZ Series Heavy Duty Caterpillar Units have pneumatic clamping and are available in two different wire diameter range sizes to cover wire diameters up to 40mm.
Drive Units for Strip
We offer NAB Series Drive Units for strip, which include hydraulic clamping and have rollers supported on both sides to minimise edge bow. These drive units are available in two different wire diameter range sizes to cover wire diameters up to 80mm and wire thickness up to 5mm.
Transport Rolls
Our DEV Series Transport Rolls feature a manual rachet nut to drive the rollers in a forward direction. These transport rolls are available in three different wire diameter range sizes to cover wire diameters up to 12mm.
The NAH Series Heavy Duty Transport Rolls feature hydraulic clamping, a direct drive with hydraulic motors and have one radius groove per roll as standard. These heavy duty transport rolls are available for wire diameters 15mm to 40mm.
