Monitoring Relays

Techna’s range of Monitoring Relays are DIN-rail mountable and available in a variety of different versions which have been designed to cover a wide range of applications. We offer single and three phase voltage monitoring relays, a digital multifunction monitoring relay, a fluid level monitoring switch, thermostats and a temperature and humidity monitoring relay.

Single Phase Voltage Monitoring Relay

Our single phase Montec-1PVM Voltage Monitoring Relay monitors the supply voltage and turns off if it detects an overvoltage or undervoltage, according to the set parameters. This single phase voltage monitoring relay has 1 changeover contact, is rated at 16A and monitors voltage from 48Vac to 276Vac, which is selectable by using the rotary potentiometers on the front panel.

Three Phase Voltage Monitoring Relays

Our Montec-3PVM-1 Voltage Monitoring Relay monitors overvoltage, undervoltage, phase sequence and phase failure in three phase AC systems whilst our Montec-3PVM-2 Voltage Monitoring Relay monitors overvoltage and undervoltage only. These voltage monitoring relays draw their power supply from 3 live phases, which means that the relays remain functional even if one phase is lost. The Montec-3PVM-1N and Montec-3PVM-2N versions draw their power supply from L1, L2, L3 and N, so also monitor loss of the neutral. The Montec-3PVM-1/1N and the Montec-3PVM-2/2N have 1 changeover contact, are rated at 8A and can be programmed by using the rotary potentiometers on the front panel.

Our Montec-3PVM-Asym Voltage Monitoring Relay monitors overvoltage, undervoltage, phase sequence, phase failure and phase voltage asymmetry in three phase AC systems and is suitable for circuits without neutral. The Montec-3PVM-AsymN version is suitable for circuits with neutral. These three phase voltage monitoring relays have 2 changeover contacts, are rated at 16A and can be programmed by using the rotary potentiometers on the front panel.

Digital Multifunction Voltage Monitoring Relay

The three phase Montec-3PVM-LCD Multifunction Voltage Monitoring Relay monitors phase sequence, phase failure and phase voltage asymmetry using a 3 wire connection and can include neutral failure monitoring when using a 4 wire connection. This digital multifunction voltage monitoring relay has 2 changeover contacts, rated at 5A, has a backlit LCD display and is programmed using control buttons.

Three Phase AC Voltage Indicator

The Montec-3PVM-LED Voltage Indicator is used for optical signalling of the voltage levels on three phase systems. When the supply voltage indicator LEDs are turned ON, the colour of the LED corresponds to the voltage of each phase, i.e. green LED indicates correct voltage, red LED indicates overvoltage and yellow LED indicates undervoltage. If phase failure occurs, the corresponding LED will not illuminate.

Fluid Level Monitoring Switch

Our Montec-Level Monitoring Switch is designed to monitor and control fluid levels in wells, basins, reservoirs and tanks etc. Two configurations can be selected, a single level switch with single state monitoring, which monitors one level of fluid, or a double level switch with double state monitoring, which monitors two levels of fluid (switches on at one level and switches off at another level). This level monitoring switch has 1 changeover contact, is rated at 8A, has 2 selectable pump functions (filling or emptying) and an adjustable time delay between 0.5 seconds to 10 seconds, which is selectable using rotary potentiometers on the front panel.

Temperature and Humidity Monitoring Relay

The Thermtec-HT8F Temperature Monitoring Relay is designed to monitor temperature and humidity via a built-in sensor and is suitable for various applications, such as, fans, heating, air-conditioning and dehumidifying units etc. This temperature and humidity monitoring relay has 1 changeover contact, is rated at 16A, has 8 selectable functions, a temperature range up to 60°C and a humidity range of 50% to 90%, which is selectable using rotary potentiometers.

Thermostats

Our Thermtec-SL60 and Thermtec-SL45 are single thermostats used for temperature monitoring and regulation in control panels, heating systems, cooling systems, liquids, radiators, motors, devices and open spaces, etc. The Thermtec-SL60 has a temperature range of 0°C to 60°C and the Thermtec-SL45 has a temperature range of -15°C to 45°C. These thermostats have 1 changeover contact, are rated at 16A and have an adjustable hysteresis (sensitivity) range of 0.5°C to 5°C, which is set using rotary potentiometers on the front panel.

The Thermtec-MWM Thermostat monitors the temperature of a motor winding and operates with the PTC sensor already built-in to the motor winding or with an external sensor which may be a PTC sensor or mechanical switch, such as a bi-metal contact. This thermostat has 2 changeover contacts which are rated at 8A.

Our Thermtec-RT6FD Digital Thermostat has a built-in time switch with a day, week and year program and can be used to modify or disable thermostat functions according to periods specified by the user. Common applications are complex water and solar heating scenarios. This digital thermostat has 2 changeover contacts, is rated at 8A, has a backlit LCD display, has 6 functions and has multiple switching modes, which are selectable using control buttons.
